For 27 years No Smoking Day has been the UK’s biggest health campaign of its kind. Last year almost a million people quit on the Day, and studies prove it’s one of the most cost effective ways of promoting better health in the workplace. Aside from a range of potentially fatal conditions linked to smoking, smokers are also more likely to suffer from poor general health; recent research shows smokers take an average of eight days more sick leave a year than non-smoking colleagues.
